My secret to nailing your morning routine

I took a poll this week and 75% of my voting followers wish they had a better morning routine.. so naturally, I want to share how I turned my snoozing, rushed, exercise-less, crumby tired mornings into magic, dreamy and sustainable mornings that set me up for most days feeling calm, centered and grounded

(I say MOST, cause I’m also human and shit mornings are sometimes allowed!)

Is your phone in the way of your Morning routine?⁣

Do you wake up and scroll?⁣
Do you snooze your alarm until the very moment you need to get out of bed?⁣
You have space in the morning to fill your cup? ⁣

As cool and fun as social media can be, we can all admit that it can be time and mood drainer so we need to set BOUNDARIES!

Here's how I successfully hacked my mornings to be the dreamiest way to start the day - it works for me and you are most welcome to try this or your own version of this discipline!

1. I turn my phone on flight mode at night⁣ - no one needs to contact me in the night and I have a more peaceful sleep - in fact, our bedroom is a technology free zone!


2. I leave it to charge outside of my bedroom, you could try at least out of reach from your bed - set your alarm with your phone or get a old school alarm clock!


3. When my alarm goes off at 5.45am I have no choice but to get my booty out of bed and get on with my morning routine..⁣ there is a moment when I consider getting back into a cosy bed, I’ve tried that though and I always feel better after moving than I do, a snoozey 30minutes longer.

My Morning Routine usually looks like this:⁣
I Move: Yoga, Run or walk are currently my things!
Mindful Meditation: 20minutes with the Headspace app!
I read over my goals
Gratitude⁣ list: I write down 5 things I am deeply grateful for today!
A nourishing breakfast sitting down; it’s usually eggs, a smoothie or a chia pudding
I usually put some music on at some point and dance around my house if I’m feeling it (or I need a perk up, it’s my “coffee”)


My phone (generally) remains on flight mode until this is done..at the least, until my gratitude list is complete.

As you can see in the video, that morning was an exception when I did a live video on this, mid run, as the sun was rising! It's live right now until the morning.⁣
