How to get back in the drivers seat of your health and happiness

We get so bogged down in where we think we have failed or our frustrations whether that is not eating well over the weekend or not quite being where you want to be with your goals.

Do you sometimes blame how tired you are on feeling average?

or whether you did some exercise on the average weather?

We remain stuck here, in blame and excuses which is not creating growth or heading us in the direction we want to be headed in!

But how we get unstick ourselves from that stuck feeling and get back into the drivers seat?

Welcome the new and the good

The key is to focus first on what IS working, there is a lot. This is what I get my clients to focus on at the beginning of each session. I start our sessions with the question "what is new and good?" as though, move aside stagnant energy, let’s start by focusing on what feels good!

Practise Gratitude

Another thing I suggest we all do is to a daily list of three things you are grateful for? This rewires the brain to focus on more of the good stuff and our ability to focus on things we appreciate grows, the more we focus on it!

List accomplishments (no matter the size!)

Once a week, sit down with a pen and notebook and list your accomplishments and what is working well for you! They can be small things like “I achieved my goal of drinking more water and I drank 3 litres of water every day this week! or, “I moved my body 5 times this week!” or “I tried something new this week.”

Then.. you can set your intention or focus for the week ahead from a more empowered place. Now you are really sitting in the drivers seat and making choices that serve you and your health and happiness goals!

All because, what you focus on grows!
